Lauren French is a New York based Graphic Designer by day and Illustrator by night / weekend / train commute / free time.

Lauren graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2014 with an Illustration degree and a passion for Children’s Book Illustration. While her personal art shows her love for playful illustration, her career took her into another direction of children’s clothing.

It was at her first apparel job as a Toddler CAD Designer that Lauren fell in love with pattern making and the apparel industry. There is something exciting about going into one of your favorite stores and seeing one of your designs in a strangers shopping cart.

8 years and hundreds of patterns and designs later, Lauren is a Senior Graphic Designer for a loungewear and underwear company in New York. She has sold a variety of top selling lounge pants, boxer briefs and intimates to stores like Urban Outfitters, Rue 21, Hot Topic, Spencers, Spirit Halloween and TJ Maxx. Many of these designs feature a variety of licenses including Nickelodeon, WB, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Hasbro, NBC, HBO, Showtime and many others.

When Lauren isn’t daydreaming about her next best selling Boxer Brief, she is working on a variety of other projects including murals, painting store fronts, portraits of friends, family, pets, strangers on the subway… Lauren is always looking for new opportunities to exercise her creativity.
